How does it work?
The user creates a video message on their computer where it is automatically compressed, encoded, and sent to the hosting server. Talk Fusion’s server returns a hyperlink to the sender for placement into email. Recipients click on the link and view the streamed video message in a customized playback screen using Microsoft Windows Media Player.

What is streaming video?
Streaming video refers to video content that is transmitted in a continuous stream. This allows users to view the video as it is received. Streaming video is generally smaller in file size that affords a faster overall download time. Streaming eliminates the need for downloads (which may contain viruses) and attachments (which may be too large for your in-box).

What is the recommended bandwidth for Talk Fusion?
Talk Fusion was designed for use with a broadband connection for full-motion video and audio streaming; however, there are not any software limitations with using a dial-up connection. When using a dial-up connection to send, the user will notice a longer file upload period. The messages can be viewed by recipients on either high-speed or dial-up connections.

What type of camera can be used?
Talk Fusion is designed to work with most web cameras. We recommend purchasing a camera that captures video at 30fps (frames per second) in order to create high-quality messages. Please remember that a microphone is required for recording your voice with the video capture. The microphone can be internal to the camera, internal to the laptop, or externally plugged into the sound card or USB port.

What is required to play back the video?
To view a Talk Fusion video message, a recipient will need an Internet connection, web browser and a streaming media player. Talk Fusion streaming video messages are delivered through a hyperlink. When the recipient opens an email, the recipient simply clicks on the hyperlink. There are no attachments or downloads. The message instantly opens to Windows Media Player and begins to play. If the recipient does not have Windows Media Player, they can download it for free from Microsoft.com
